Anal fissure?: At your age, if there's a clearly defined cause of the bleeding, no colonoscopy is needed. I'm not sure if the description your doctor gave you was of an anal fissure (a tear in the anal surface often caused by hard stool). If symptoms don't respond to your treatment, keep pursuing it.
