A member asked:

I have a transplant kidney, but i have an infection (candidiasis)and the first 2 tests results were negative but the last was positive, what can i do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Talk to your doctor: Infections post transplant can occur due to your body's lower protective state. Candida infection if superficial such as in the mouth or stomach can be treated with medication. Some patients will require long term use of anti-yeast medication to keep it from recurring. Talk to your doctor about this option.
