Sleep is not refreshing if it is constantly interrupted. Tossing and turning or punctuated by noise can lead to sleep being superficial and not refreshing. Deep sleep and REM typically allow the mind to recalibrate and the body to heal and start over fresh. Look at the noise levels in your room, screens before or during sleep and total amount of sleep. 18yr olds typically need about 10 hours.
