With the proper regimen of medications, removal of allergic triggers and otherwise good health, Wheezing should be controllable. Talk to your regular Dr about the frequency and duration of your wheezing episodes. You may need a change in medications for full control.

A review of your asthma plan,following GINA guidelines is recommended. Allergy testing, eosinophil count is indicated. If you have allergic triggers such as dust and mold, avoidance is recommended. Avoid smoke and pollution. A LTRA may help to reduce steroid dose. Singulair is one option. If well controlled, a lower Aerocort dose may be possible.
