Injury and thyroid: Head trauma can disrupt pituitary stimulation of the thyroid. While unlikely, i suppose neck trauma could damage the thyroid directly.

I'm just curious I had covid back in March. Within weeks I noticed mild dysphagia(feels like a piece of bread stuck one side) and a nodule on left side of neck/throat within last 4 days. Even with a fam history of thyroidism. Could covid be the cause?
