See a neurologist: Numbness in different locations of the body is not typically associated with pregnancy. Occasionally, pregnant women can get sensory symptoms in the lateral thigh, a condition called meralgia paresthetica which is due to pressure on a nerve. Other neurological conditions can appear after pregnancy. A person with unusual sensory symptoms after pregnancy should be checked by a neurologist.
