Medical attention: With these symptoms, your mother needs medical attention. If not already being treated, her hypertension needs help because it may be related to the numbness in some body parts. As for her diet, this is best discussed with her doctor depending on what is found with her other examination, and possible medications. Good luck to you and your mother.

Optimal diet: Achieve ideal wt, dont smoke, minimize salt, eliminate saturated fats, be modest with meats, eat fruit, veggies, and whole grains, minimize caffeine, exercise daily, select foods rich in magnesium and potassium, avoid sugars, breads, pasta. Drink 2 to 3 liters per day. Avoid alcohol
