Contact lens: You may be sensitive to the contact lens disinfectant solution you are using. Also, your eyes could be dry eye in which case artificial tears or rewetting might help. Switching to a different brand or type of contact also might solve your problem. Try these changes one at a time to see which helps.

Improve environment: This is usually caused by contact lens overwear, poor fit, delayed replacement, poor cleaning, allergy, or dryness in the eyes. Would first recommend reducing wear time and then trying to use some preservative free artificial tears during the day. If that does not work then you should follow up with your eye doctor for examination. If anything worsens then see your doctor sooner.
