Multiple reasons: Perhaps it's not just the nerves, but also the joints, ligaments and tendons in the knee that hurt after prolonged stretching, standing, sitting, strenuous exercise. These could be due to strain, sprain, nerve inflammation or impingement. Any symptoms that get worse or accompanied by leg weakness or shrinkage of muscles, have yourself examined by your dr. Take care!
