Although your post is scanty, would certainly wonder about migraine headaches, and if so, a neurologist could provide a preventative program. OTC remedies do help, and include riboflavin, butterbur, Co-Q-10, feverfew, magnesium. Your doctor can help coordinate. Recent reports on meditation and mindfulness suggest another approach.

Headaches come in so many types and workup is always needed. A migraine/hemicrania is suggested by your post and in general avoiding stress if possible, light physical exercise help with the majority of them. A specialist us sometimes needed given their complexity.

You may have sinusitis that can be on one side and cause pain on one side of the head. It would be useful to see an ENT doctor as this is a common cause. If this simple explanation is excluded you would need to consider the issues mentioned by Drs. P and M. Drink enough water so that your urine is mostly colorless, in case your headache is due to dehydration. Wish you good health!
