2 in after periods: Most girls will grow about 2 inches after the start of their periods. This is usually around the age of 14 1/2 to 15. At 27 you should have finished your linear growth years ago. Although once it was commonplace for tall girls to receive high doses of estrogen to limit their growth, it is now uncommonly done because of known and theoretical side effects of therapy.
