Growth: If you are continuing to grow into adulthood, you need to be evaluated for excessive growth hormone.

2 in after periods: Most girls will grow about 2 inches after the start of their periods. This is usually around the age of 14 1/2 to 15. At 27 you should have finished your linear growth years ago. Although once it was commonplace for tall girls to receive high doses of estrogen to limit their growth, it is now uncommonly done because of known and theoretical side effects of therapy.

How old are you?: Female height growth usually slows shortly after menses starts, but height can increase some up to late adolescence. Height is typically mainly controlled by genetic factors and mean parental heights. If you are concerned about your height, you can see an endocrinologist and check your growth and hormone status.
