I understand xxx syndrome can cause tallness in girls. is that symptom noticed early on or can that come about later in life (years past puberty)?

By adolescence: Hi. The tallness is noticed by adolescence. The height increase only occurs in females with 47, XXX until the growth plates in the long bones fuse (which occurs relatively later in 47, XXX females than in 46, XX). Once the growth plates are fused, there is no increase in linear height.

Symptoms vary & can : be hard to spot. Girls with Triple X may be tall in childhood. Sometimes teachers think they should act their size, not their age. This can be tough, especially if the girl has language-based or other learning difficulties. In teens & adults the legs may be very long in proportion to the slender torso, although average height is only an inch or two above the average for 46, XX women.
