Is it the ear?: Palpate the swelling and open and close your mouth. If it is the jaw joint you will feel it move when you open and close. Sometimes the TMJ can give ear symptoms like fullness. I would have an ENT check it out first to be sure there are no medical problems. If not, then check with a dentist who conservatively treat TMJ issues to see if that is a possible cause.
