Not direct: Hemorrhoids are not caused by coffee, but coffee can dehydrate you making stool harder to pass hence you strain and hemorrhoids can develop.

Caffeine: Either coffee, tea, cola drinks, chocolate, and energy drinks as well as any form of alcohol can dehydrate leading to difficult stools and hemorrhoid flare. Caffeine add itionally causes anal itching, not hemorrhoids. If you are having a problem at bottom, best to eliminate all caffeine.
