Sitting : Hemorrhoids can flair for many reasons. sitting or lack of activity may be best reason. When you sit for long periods you are putting the veins of the anus under stress causing blood to pool. The medication is for inflammatory bowel disease so make sure you GI doctor is aware of your problem and not a flare up.
