A member asked:

I have had a lump below my left kneecap for more than 2 years now. why is that. when i hit it against something it hurts very bad. the worst pain. why?

Osgood-Schlater: It sounds as if you may have had osgood-schlater disease, which is more than likely resolved except for a painful ossicle which may be present at the tibial tubercle. Most of the time this is treated with rest and avoiding direct pressure. Sometimes it may require surgery.
