Ice and go to PT: If you are still having symptoms, you should still be icing and should be in a physical therapy program. It is unfortunately normal for a ankle sprain to hurt for quite awhile. Stick with it and it will get better. If not, see a specialist as something else may be going on.

See ankle speciaiist: If your sprained ankle hurts that severely after 2 months, there may be a more involved injury to the ankle, such as a 'hidden fracture', only able to be seen on mri, or ligaments may be torn. You need to see a podiatric physician or a foot orthopedist.
