Average 2x\year: Most patients should be seen every six months for a dental exam, although x-rays are not necessarily taken every time. Some patients need to be seen more often, while others who keep their teeth really clean and seldom have dental problems can be seen only once per year. Your dentist will advise you how often he\she thinks you should wait between check-ups.
