Just asking so i will know about this, will it be bad if you use your nose spray like avamys when you have a runny nose? are there any better sprays?

Not harmful: Fluticasone would not harm you if you used it for a runny nose from a viral illness. It is intended more for chronic symptoms. It doesn't achieve maximum effectiveness quickly, so it's not the best. A spray like azelastine or Olopatadine are antihistamine nose sprays that have some decongestant properties. Over the counter oxymetazoline is more potent, and for short term use a better choice.

It won't hurt: Avamys is a brand name for fluticasone furoate, marketed in the us as veramyst. If your runny nose is due to allergy avamys is just the thing. If it's due to a cold it probably won't hurt & may even help a little. For runny noses due to irritants like cold air or strong odors topical corticosteroid sprays like avamys are not as effective as topical antihistamines or irpatropium.
