A member asked:

Would i need iodine treatment for a hyalinizing trabecular tumor? they told me benign but i have thyroglobulin antibodies which was told not to worry

HTTs: Htts are extremely rare and still controversial tumors that often produce thyroglobulin but are almost universally considered benign and in most studies, surgical removal was curative. Some authors consider them to be variants of papillary carcinomas, but still recommend initial sub total thyroid economy without any adjunctive therapy.

Depends: Depends on the size of the cancer. I consider this to be a variant of papillary thyroid cancer and would treat like such.
