Yes, but they are : Unlikely to work. What needs to occur, most likeli, is to remove the wedge of the nail going into the skin. It's not hard but you will need some local anesthetic. It should then regrow normally. Your OB may feel comfortable doing it, not hard. A podiatrist would be a sure thing, most primary care docs can do it as well. Good luck.

Yes: Topical treatments should be ok with pregnancy for an ingrown toenail. I would speak to your doctor, though.

Soaks for a start...: You can use neosporin and h2o2 topically, an infection in the area can be treated locally by soaks - i like dilute vinegar soaks beacuse they provide an acid environment which is not conducive to most opportunistic bacteria (the ones that take advantage of an opportunity to get in). Also use a topical antibiotic cream. If the redness doesn't go away soon, you may need an oral antibiotic.
