Physical exam: Does your pain worsen when you twist your back? If so, it could be from facet joints. You would need to see your doctor for an evaluation because a number of things could do this including kidney stones or even aortic dissection (unlikely, but it wold be an emergency if you had this)... It's most likely something not so serious, though. I hope you feel better.
