Go see an Orthodonti: Unusual issue......You should go see your orthodontist for a look. Most times, when gums are sore, they need more brushing. You might try this as well.

Adjustment: If your teeth, gums, lip,etc. are sore your retainer may need an adjustment. Please return to the Dentist or Orthodontic Specialist who mad the alliance for you for reevaluation. If that is not possible, please see an Orthodontic Specialist in your area for advice and care.
