Ear and throat hurt: You may have a bacterial or a viral infection.In any case you should see your doctor as you may or may not need antibiotics, depending what is causing it.

Many things: It could be a number of things. Infected wisdom tooth, strep throat, canker cores, or primary herpatic gingivostomatitis come to mind.
