What is a good over-the-counter prenatal vitamin?

There are many: There are many good brands. Nature made is one. Just eating right is a good start, but you are right that prenatal vitamins are probably a good idea, because pregnant and lactating women need more of some nutrients, like calcium, vitamin b12, folate (folic acid) and iron. And getting enough folate (folic acid) (400-800 mcg daily) is important before you get pregnant, to reduce the risk of spinal cord defects in the baby.

Prenatal Vitamins: Most all otc pregnancy vitamins are ok for your pregnancy. I personally tell my patients to get them at kroger because you get 2 for 1.
