Muscle twitches: Neck muscles are sensitive to many things. Weight baring, sustained positioning like typing, even eye strain can all cause hyperkinesis including twitching. The stiffness can accompany the twitching, making it difficult with range of motion. Dystonia can be the underlining problem. Brief and intermittent twitches on the other hand can be completely physiologic, and resting can lead to resolution.
