Floaters are not caused by tension headaches. I would keep a headache diary recording every thing you eat and do and share with your Dr to see if the two of you can find the cause.

See your doctor, as you do not necessarily have "tension headaches", as it is more likely that there is a different causation here. Your doctor and you can decide further testing, such as blood studies, sinus imaging, and even spinal tap to r/o unlikely viral meningitis.
