Kind of vague: Not sure what they mean by "unusual appearance". Could be anything by i would imagine that if there were a tumor, then they would say so. I'd ask your doctor to talk with the radiologist to clarify. May need to get an endoscopy with a GI doctor.

Need further eval: Evaluation by a gastroenterologist would be the best way to elucidate what this really means. The can perform am endoscopic study where they can visualize your esophagus with a video camera.
