Lower the dose: Gabapentin is one of the only medications in the world that is known to improve sleep quality. Most sleeping pills put people to sleep, but reduce the amounts of quality sleep. So what you are experiencing is not the worst thing in the world, because it's good sleep you're getting. Lowering the dose, with your doctor's permission, should help.
