Complicated Answer: Renal scans help determine blood flow, function and excretion from the kidneys. When there is not a kidney seen at the end of the study it could mean it was never seen(bad) or that it has completely emptied (good). With a stent i assume there was blockage. A renal scan is confusing to look at, since the left sided kidney is the left kidney. Your doctor will explain your findings in detail.
