Stents can cause bld: Your urologist probably mentioned that ureteral stents can routinely cause gross hematuria (i.e. Blood in the urine). Patients are advised to drink fluids liberally to avoid clot formation while the stent is in place. Hopefully the stent will be removed shortly and your symptoms will resolve.
