Yes: Yes, it is normal for others to be affected by a loved one with ptsd. It is best to be supportive to the extent that you encourage the individual to get treatment. Ptsd can be successfully treated with psychotherapy and medication so there is hope. However, if they refuse treatment and your well being is still compromised, your options are limited. There is no excuse for bad behavior.
