PTSD treatment: One way is time, although in the meantime the person is likely to suffer and be miserable. A perhaps better way to treat it without medication is to undergo psychotherapy. There are many effective therapies for ptsd, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (cbt), exposure therapy, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (emdr).

Exposure may help: Think of the triggers that evoke symptoms and expose yourself in a safe manner ie if coeds are a problem park by the mall until you can go in if middle easterners set you off go to a iddle eastern restaunt etc see a cbt therapist who can empathize with your trauma.
