Scalp Pain: At your age, the most likely scenario is a "cold" or allergy, with swollen posterior cervical lymph nodes and muscle spasm affecting the neck muscles, impinging on the sensitive nerves. Much less likely are things like a cervical disk, temporal arteritis, or other head and neck maladies. If the pain doesn't subside in a few days ( try a decongestant and tylenol) , give your doctor a call.
