Many changes in life: Anxiety can stay the same, get better, or get worse, as time goes by. Changes in a person's brain, in his hormones & other bodily functions, in the way he sees & reacts with his world, in his treatment & medications, and in his environment, can all affect his type & level of anxiety at any point in his life. Doctors always hope for less anxiety, regardless of whether a patient is 9, 19, or 39.

Anxiety & age:: Age alone does not increase anxiety as far i know. If you don't learn ways of coping with anxiety, such as relaxation skills & changing negative thinking, the anxiety can generalize to more & more situations. The key is to learn anxiety management skills. If relaxation is difficult, find a biofeedback therapist at www.Aapb.Org or www.Bcia.Org.
