I have a burning sensation on my thumb from the tip to the first crease is burning. what can i do to stop it was likely caused it?

Nerve irritation.: This is an irritation or injury of the nerve in your thumb. It could be due to an unrecognized injury or much less likely a rash that has not yet broken out (dyshidrotic eczema or an herpetic rash) time will tell. I suspect this will resolve without any treatment.
