None avaiiable: Thyroxine is produced by the thyroid gland, not in plants, vegetables or fruits. Most patients take synthetic thyroxine which is very safe used properly.

It is vegetarian: All sodium levothyroxine is derived from vegetarian sources so no need to look any further. The only animal-derived thryoid medicines are thyroid glandular extracts like Armour Thyroid and nature-throid. Most who are hypothyroid also benefit from liothyronine, which is also vegetarian- see http://thyroid.About.Com/od/t3treatment/tp/t4-t3-thyroid-treatment.Htm & http://bit.Ly/15k26u8 for more info.
