Could be...: One of the conditions that come to mind is possible trigeminal neuralgia. It is a condition when the trigeminal nerve (cranial nerve v) for whatever reason fires abnormally and causes brief episodes of severe, sharp lancinating pain. It could be precipitated by chewing or by blowing air in one's face. There are other potential causes. But make a visit to your doctor.
