Chest discomfort: This vague symptom may be from an irritable superficial nerve or mildly inflamed muscle in the rib cage. Heart or lung causes seem less likely at this time. If the symptom persists or worsens see your physician or cardiologist for evaluation. A 12 lead EKG and/or a chest xray may then be ordered depending upon the assessment.
