What is the ideal relation between body weight and height?

Body Mass Index: The BMI is an accepted, formula generated number that addresses the height-weight relationship. The formula is: (703 x weight in lbs.)/height in inches squared. Ideal BMI is between 18.5 to 24.9.

How do you FEEL?: The "idea weight" stuff is subscientific rubbish. Many elite track athletes are "underweight"; solid-muscle football linebackers are "obese". A few years ago, JAMA published a series in which "overweight (not obese)" folks seemed healthier and lived longer. Whatever looks and feels right to you and lets you keep up with peers at your favorite sports activities is your best weight.

BMI: Maintain your BMI around 22. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week.
