Many do, don't try : Many medications , including those to treat cholesterol raise hdl, fibrates, Niacin and even statins. Other medications like estrogen also raise hdl, but there is no study yet showing that raising HDL with medications independently of other effects is beneficial . There are some new drugs on the horizon that raise hdl, but no proof yet that they reduce risk of heart disease..
