Not a lot: Even significant percentage changes in HDL from exercise only result in small absolute changes in the level. While exercise itself may have cardiovascular benefits, it has not been shown that HDL raising from exercise is protective. Often hard to separate the effects of exercise from the lipid effects and even the effects/impact on weight.
