Maymaybe: Perhaps. Not every lens producing cell is removed at the time of cataract surgery. Occasionaly these can regrow and lead to cloudiness of a layer behind your new lens inplant. This is called posterior capsule opacification or secondary cataract. An in office laser surgery can help with this. Please discuss with your surgeon.

No: But some residual lens cells can migrate over the capsule holding the artificial lens and should be lasered when visually significant.
