Cataract. surgery: For cataract surgery, patient is in a dream state due to anesthesia so they do not remember much. The surgery takes 5-10 minutes and most patients have no pain whatsoever.

To be relaxed!: Today's cataract procedure takes 5-10 minutes. The procedure is painless, some people experience a little pressure. Most all my patients respond that day or the day after how easy it was and can not believe they worried about it, "the dentist is 10x worse". I also had to go to the waiting area after surgery once and convince the patient that we were all finish.
