Probably yes: Avelox probably will take care of the strep infection.Remeber white pockets do not necessarily mean you have have strep.If viral, the antibiotic will not help cure the infection.

Yes: Penicillin or Amoxicillin work well against strep throat, and are the usual choices. Avelox will work against strep too.

Maybe: The strep that infects the throat is usually strep pyogenes and is susceptible to avelox. ( meaning Avelox will kill the germ, usually) in some cases their is resistance to this antibiotic so one would still need to follow up with their doctor.
