I started abx last sunday for sinusitis. my child has strep. i now have white spots on tonsils but no sore throat or fever. can i get strep?

Not on abx: If you are currently taking the kind of abx we give for strep, you cannot get it. If you finished & it was a long acting med like azithromycin it is likely still working to prevent strep. Attack rate within families ranges from 1/4 to 1/32 depending on the season. I would not seek treatment unless you have symptoms fever,soreness.
