What are alternative treatments to taking iron for chronic anemia? it makes me sick when i take it alone or in the form of a multi-vitamin with iron.

Iron is necessary: We can get iron from a number of sources. Meats and green leafy vegetables are good sources. There are also other ways to get iron. Iron can be given in shots or by IV infusion. There are also many different otc types of iron, including liquids like geritol and feosol (ferrous sulfate).
