Typically no: Mobic generally works well as a once a day dose. Ask your doctor if you can supplement with tylenol (acetaminophen) or prescription tramadol as needed to give you better pain control.

Possibly: The higher Meloxicam dose may be more effective. If the arthritis in your hip is severe, hip replacement may be the best option.
