Echogenic focus: During routine fetal screening, it is not uncommon to see echogenic or "bright" spots in various places. There are many reasons why these may occur, but most of the time it ends up being unimportant. Your OB may just want to keep a close eye to be sure there isn't something more. An isolated bright spot in the stomach region usually goes away and is nothing to worry about.
