Some times yes: Most of the time gall bladder could be removed with pin hole surgery, or laparoscopic surgery, very rarely it may not be possible due to severe adhesion, abnormal anatomy, bleeding etc then it will be removed by open incision speak to your surgeon about your concern.

Maybe: Surgeons are good at laparoscopy, but there are very few times that the operation to remove the gallbladder is difficult that way and the surgeon has to open up and see everything directly, to be safe. Good luck and be strong in your self. Your surgeon wants to treat you so you get better quickly.
